The King grants to Robert Phillips esq., the following lands in Stepney, Whitechapel and Shadwell (exact measurements, values, annual rents and amounts of rent in arrears given), for which Samuel Truelove held leases of various lengths at the time of his death:
(a) 5 messuages or cottages in Ratcliff, on the south side of Brokestreet leading from Whitehorse Street to Whitechapel, occupied by Francis Smith, William Hudson, Marie Lathum, Robert Levett and Harris Bond, plus a small piece of waste land to the south of the said messuages.
(b) 4 messuages and 2 cottages on the south side of Philpott Street, occupied by Thomas Fishill, John Weston, Widow Griffin, Humphrey Richardson, William Benney, John Brewer and William Hill.
(c) 2 messuages and 2 cottages on the north side of Philpott Street, occupied by James Merrett, Thomas Light, John Hastall, and Widow Smith, by the surrender of George Vawdrey.
(d) 1 messuage on the Ratcliff Highway, leading from East Smithfield to Ratcliff, near Gravel Lane, with a small piece of copyhold land adjoining it, occupied by Thomas Fisher, by the surrender of John Merryhurst and Sarah his wife.
(e) Those messuages or tenements now being built on a piece of land abutting New Gravel Lane on the west, formerly occupied by John Rowen (by the surrender of Stephen Draper), later by ------ Fowles and John Rivers.
(f) A small piece of land in Whitechapel, occupied by Joseph Pile, brewer, adjoining the garden occupied by Richard Beadle, with buildings on it formerly occupied by John Waters, John Best and Robert Twissleton (by the surrender of Francis Lowe), later by Edmund Lewin and ------ Knott.
(g) 5 messuages in Shadwell, abutting the road from Wapping to Shadwell Mills on the south, and on another road to the Ratcliff Highway on the east, leased for three lives (Mary Moore, widow; Peter Wightwicke, son of Samuel Wightwicke; and Thomas Foale), formerly occupied by John Ellison and Gilbert Collyns (assigned to them by Robert Crowley, who had them by the surrender of Samuel Wightwicke and John Winterborne), later by ------ Webb, Eliza Case, Edward Markham, ------ Funnell, ------ Garraway, ------ Taylor, Robert Wilson, Joan Lash, Gervase Author, ------ Spike, ------ Campion and ------ Vering.
(h) A piece of land in Shadwell, formerly occupied by Robert Crowley (by the surrender of William Leaverick and Elizabeth his wife), later by ------ Vering.
(i) A piece of land in or near 'Le Green Banuck' and Old Gravel Lane (abutting the garden of Widow Vessey to the east, the common sewer to the west, land occupied by Reginald Peters to the south, and the path leading to Meeting House Lane to the north), occupied by Edward Adams, by the surrender of James Hooper and Mary his wife.
(j) A piece of land in Wapping, on part of which buildings were being erected, occupied by John Cobb and Jane his wife (assigned to them by John Manshill, having it by the right of Rachel his wife), by the surrender of William Cobb.
