| Description | Large volume of minutes entitled '3rd London Circuit Minutes, Spitalfield Chapel, 1850'. Contains minutes of quarterly meetings of the 3rd London Circuit; St George's Circuit; Poplar Circuit; the Poplar Section of the Poplar and Bow Mission Circuit.
The first entry within the volume is a set of minutes for a Quarterly Meeting of the 3rd London Circuit, held in the Vestry of Spitalfields Chapel on 26 April 1850; the last entry within the volume is a set of minutes for a Quarterly Meeting of the Poplar section of the Poplar and Bow Mission, held at Poplar on Monday 17 June 1901.
Minutes from 26 April 1850 - 23 June 1863 (inclusive) are for meetings of the '3rd London Circuit'; minutes from 23 September 1863 - 22 June 1885 (inclusive) are for quarterly meetings of the 'St George's Circuit'; minutes from 21 September 1885 - 17 September 1900 (inclusive) are for quarterly meetings of the Poplar Circuit; minutes from 17 December 1900 - 17 June 1901 (inclusive) are for quarterly meetings of the Poplar Section of the Poplar and Bow Mission.
The volume also contains some loose material, such as, memos (one of which is dated December 1849); financial lists; notes and correspondence. |
