DescriptionMaterial relating to the sale of the Poplar Methodist Church building and land in East India Dock Road which took place prior to the relocation of the congregation to the nearby Trinity Church building in 1976.

The records were found arranged together within one large folder of material. This folder contained within it futher subdivisions of material; a folder entitled 'Sale of old place' and an envelope entitled 'Dex Harrison & Pollard Plans July 1974/1976 Poplar Methodist Housing'. The envelope contained correspondence and also six plans.

For access and preservation reasons the plans have been removed from the folder. Each plan has been catalogued as an individual item (W/PMC/4/4/5/1/2 - W/PMC/4/4/5/1/7). The remaining folder of written materials is catalogued together as one item (W/PMC/4/4/5/1/1). The correspondence within the folder provides context to the plans and the reasons for their creation.
