Material includes: annotated Memorandum dated 4 February 1958 entitled 'Memorandum of Choice and Appointment of New Trustees of the Methodist Trust Property at 1, 2 and 3 Woodstock Terrace Poplar, London E.14.' The date of the Memorandum registration by the Methodist Chapel Committee is 27 April 1958 and the document is accompanied by a Methodist Church Department for Chapel Affairs 'Completion of Memorandum of Choice and Appointment' form, dated 15 May 1958.
There are also two typed letters amongst the material. The earlier of the two is an annotated letter dated 23 October 1957, the sender is Lesley Farmer (Superintendent of Poplar and Bow Mission) and the recipient, Reverend W. Wallace (Poplar Methodist Mission). The later letter is from W. Wallace to Chapel Affairs, Manchester, dated 23 December 1957. The letters relate to the Poplar Methodist Mission property at 1, 2 and 3 Woodstock Terrace and the need for a new Memorandum to be drawn up under the New Model Deed, in order for the then current Trustees of Poplar to become the Trustees of the property. |
