There is no title on the cover of the volume, however, there is the following dedication within: 'Given to Poplar Methodist Mission by Markus/Kirche, Offenback/Main as a sign of the loving link between the two churches. August, 1977'.
The volume contains signatures of visitors arranged chronologically under date headings and sometimes under heading titles for particular events, for example, '50 Chinese Children's Club 50' and 'Synod Sept 7th'; 'George Green's School 150th anniversary 17 July 1978'; '12 December 1983 - Tower Hamlets C.N.D. Torchlight Vigil'. There are signatures and addresses from a range of visitors, domestic and international. The last event in the volume, entitled 'J.W.S. 'Playscheme Pilgrims'', is dated August 1985 and the last date recorded in the volume (against a signature entry) is 27 October 1985. |
