DescriptionLee Rogers' copy of a letter from Steve Murphy to Dan Jones in connection with a conversation Steve had with Terry Sullivan about representatives from the Half Moon Theatre addressing a future full Trades Council meeting. In the letter Steve expresses the hopes the Half Moon have of gaining further trade union support locally and exploring ways in which union branches 'can become involved in the building of the New Half Moon Theatre and community centre'.

The letter makes reference to the fact that Neil Kinnock [Labour Party MP, 1970-1995; Labour MEP 1994-2009; member of the House of Lords 2005-] and Norman Willis [Deputy General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress, 1984-1993] had both recently attended the Half Moon Theatre performance of 'The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists'.
