Recites mortgage of 10 Feb. 1825, whereby Robert Roberts secured £500, and a further indenture of 27 Sep. 1825 whereby he borrowed another £250 from Lowe. £50 has been repaid but £700 is still outstanding. The following property is re-mortgaged (with Lowe having power of sale to secure the £700, and the equity of redemption being limited to uses for the benefit of Mr. and Mrs.Woolloton only):
(a) a piece of land between Mill Street and Hickman's Folly, Bermondsey, next to the mill pond there and adjacent to Dockhead Street (leased by an indenture of 6 July 1774 to Griffith Roberts for 61 years, with licence to build a brick arch over the mill pond or stream; Griffith Roberts died 26 Aug. 1803 and administration of his effects was granted to his son Robert Roberts, Griffith Roberts' widow Gwynne having renounced administration), together with the public house thereon, known as the Plume of Feathers, occupied by Hugh Capp, abutting Mill Street, at the southernmost end of the Folly near St. Saviour's Dock, with free use of the 'necessary' and yard at the northernmost part of the said premises.
(b) Two houses (nos.11 and 12, both occupied by John Stidston) in Artillery Passage, Old Artillery Ground.

Further agreement in form of lease and release (30-31 Dec. 1831) whereby Robert Charles Woolloton repays the £700 owing to Hustler Lowe, and conveys the property mentioned above to Edward Janson of Lawrence Pountney Lane, London, architect, in trust for the use of himself and his wife Harriet Elizabeth Woolloton. |
