Five mills on the site were now used for grinding corn, and there were six fulling-stocks in the occupation of John Carswall and Broughton Wright. The parties entered covenants for repair of equipment, use of the mills, and to keep accounts. The deed includes an inventory of leased stock in the mills and on the wharf. Mention is made of George Godfrey's 21-year lease of three further fulling-stocks on the Westham side of the river Lea.
