TitleMcCarthy Sketchbook
Date(s)20th Century
DescriptionA mauve sketchbook filled with rough drawings. The book is bound with card, leather and board. It is approximately eighteen centimetres tall by twenty six wide. In terms of sketches there are very few male nudes, with the vast majority of drawings being portraits or still life. There are no page numbers.

A purple bookmark halfway through the book denotes a portrait of a woman as 'Jane May'. In addition, at the back of the book is a newspaper cutting depicting a man standing in a field.

Number of Sketches: 23

PhysicalDescriptionCondition: This sketchbook is in incredibly poor condition. The vocers are creased in multiple areas with significant tearing around the spine. Inside the situation is even worse, with every single page having torn loose of the spine. The sketches themselves appear to be in good condition, however.
