Title'The Canada Tower'
Date(s)1990s
DescriptionOn back, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1994 label: titled 'Docklands'. The painting was submitted but not included in the final exhibition.
Tom Lyddon reflects: 'The Canada Tower is 824ft high and was completed in 1991. It stood alone, half empty because of the recession in business at that time.
The painting shows the tower on an evening of rain and low cloud, the tower only half occupied the top obscured by the cloud and just the beacon light shining at the very top.'
