We (among others) whose names are subscribed inhabitants of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the Parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex have pursuant to a warrant from Ebenezer Mussell and John Lawton esquires, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said county examined the aforegoing accounts of Mr John Brown, Churchwarden of the said hamlet for the year 1747 and find by the same that there remains in the hands of the said Mr John Brown the sum of threepence farthing which he has this day paid into the hands of Mr John Mitchell the present Churchwarden of the said Hamlet.
