We (among others) whose names are subscribed in Pursuance of a Warrant under the Hands and Seals of Robert Dennett and Boulton Mainwaring esquire, two of His Majesty's Justices of The Peace for the County of Middlesex, have examined the aforegoing accounts of Mr Joseph Hefford and Captain George Stevens late overseers of the Poor of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex for the year 1745 and find the same true and right and that there remained in the hands of the said late overseers the sum of ninety pounds and nine pence halfpenny which sum they have this day paid into the hands of Mr. John Brown the present churchwarden of the said hamlet.
