We, among others whose names are subscribed inhabitants of the hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex, have pursuant from a warrant from Walter Berry and George Garratt esquire, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said county, examined the aforegoing accounts of Mr William Stevens, church warden, of the said hamlet for the year 1752, and find by the same that there is due to Mr William Stevens the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds, six shillings and sixpence three farthings, and we do approve that the same from this date bears interest of four pounds to continue per annum.
