We among others whose names are subscribed inhabitants of the hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex in pursuance of a warrant under the hands of Walter Berry Esquire and Sir Samuel Gower Knight, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the county of Middlesex, have examined the aforegoing accounts of Mr Thomas Buzzard and Mr Richard Noble, late overseers of the poor of the said hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall for the year 1750 and find the same true and right, and that there remained on the hands of the late overseers the sum of forty five pounds, eight shillings and eleven pence, which they have this day paid into the hands of Mr William Stevens, the present churchwarden of the said hamlet.
