We (among others) whose names are subscribed inhabitants of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex, in pursuance of a warrant under the hand of Walter Berry and Sir Samuel Gower, knight, two of His Majesty's Justices of the said county of Middlesex, have examined the aforegoing accounts of Mr Samuel Randall and Mr Alex Norcliffe, late overseers of the poor of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall for the year 1749, and find the same true and right, and that their remains due to the aforesaid overseers, £23 13s and fourpence halfpenny.
