TitleSt Bernard's School Admission Register, 1941-1944
Date(s)1941-1944
DescriptionAdmission Register for St Bernard's during the period when the school had been evacuated due to the Second World War and was based in Englefield Green in Surrey. The front cover of the volume is stamped 'Englewood, Ridgemead Road, Englefield Green' with '(0525) St. Bernard's R.C. Central (B.) School' stamped in the School title field.

The volume contains an unused alphabetic index, which is followed by admission entries which date from April 1941 - October 1944. Generally there are a lot of admissions one specific dates rather than regular admissions on a daily basis. The range of information fields within the admission register includes: admission number; date of admission/re-admission; name of parent/guardian; address; exemption from religious instruction claimed; date of birth; name of last school attended before entering this school; date of last attendance at this school; cause of leaving; remarks.

Subsequently the volume is used to record a small amount of information for August 1943 and this is followed by lists regarding Oratory Central and Guardian Angels dated 1943 and also information recorded under the heading 'proposed entrants August 1942'. There are some handwritten notes at the back of the volume.
