The Montefiore Senior Citizens Club was officially formed with an elected committee on 21 April 1977, an amalgamation of the old Montefiore club and the Pensioners Club. It met four times per week at the Montefiore Centre and members took part in games and social activities as well as having involvement in the Food Co-Op.
