| AdminHistory | The Community Association was started in 1948 after considerable discussions about the future of the House. In the post-war climate it became clear that patterns which had existed before 1939 could not be restored and that the establishment of Oxford House as a community centre, with a local membership and active participation in management, was chosen as the best way forward. The Association, which had a warden independent of the House, flourished until the late 1950s. |
