| AdminHistory | The Middlesex Society for Educating Poor Children in the Protestant Religion was instituted in 1781. By 1784 it was educating 85 boys and 40 girls in its school. In this year the Society acquired land on the west side of Cannon Street Road and erected school buildings to accommodate upwards of 200 children. New school buildings (which still stand) were erected in the site in about 1860 to accommodate 200 boys and 200 girls. In 1862 the school became a National School. In 1880 the school merged with Raine's Schools. |
