| Description | Small volume, designed to be used as a cash book (this title is on the spine) but with no additional title given by the owner, either on the cover or within. The volume contains monthly and annual accounts analysis records dating from January 1911 - December 1973 , in addition to some loose material dating from 1953-1954.
The records are arranged within a table format with each 2 pages capturing records for a particular month over a number of years (e.g. 1911-1934). Column headings at the top of each page include the names of colours, which appear to relate to particular ledgers, identified by their colour (e.g. grey, green or blue ledgers), with a final column to record 'totals'.
The records are contained within the following sections:
- Annual totals by month for January - December 1911-1934;
- Annual totals by month for January - December 1935-1958;
- Annual totals by month for January - September 1959-1974 and October - December 1959-1973.
The loose material consists of printed figures (annotated) and a memo from J. J. and S. W. Chalk to Mr. G. E. Fox re the receipt of sales for February 1954.
Only about a quarter of the volume has been used. |
