Most of the entries also contain information in one of the columns consisting of a combination of lettering and numbering, a system of referencing which may relate to the firm's ledgers.
Other loose material within the volume dates from 1972-1973 and includes: supplies orders, handwritten notes/calculations and a completed Department of Employment form. The latter is concerned with the Disabled Persons (Employment) Acts of 1944 and 1958 and contains figures for a J. J. and S. W. Chalk submission about registered disabled persons employed by the firm in 1973. |
