| Description | Very large volume containing records about accounts held with J. J. and S. W. Chalk dating from April 1970 - July 1974 and a substantial amount of loose documentation dating from August 1970 - September 1973. The volume has no title as such, however, the letter 'D' is embossed on the front cover. Inside the front cover there is a typed, undated page entitled 'Invoicing Instructions'.
The volume contains an embedded alphabetical index with records arranged alphabetically by account holder name within the index. At the beginning of each alphabetic section there is table with column headings consisting of the the letters 'A'; 'E'; ' I'; 'O'; 'U' and 'Y' and listings re account holders. Each account section includes lists of the account holder's credits and debits to J. J. and S. W. Chalk, arranged in date order.
The loose material found within the volume consists of: notes; calculations; correspondence with account holders; remittance advice documents; purchase orders etc. |

| PhysicalDescription | Very heavy volume bound with a metal hinge. The volume is a bit battered with some external damage (to the front and back covers) and some loose, ragged and torn pages within.
The items of loose material have been placed within secol folders and stored at the same place where they were found within the volume. |
