| Description | Volume containing entries of marriages solemnized in St George's Methodist Centenary Chapel from 25 July 1964 - 7 August 1987. There are only six entries within the volume, the remainder of the pages have been stamped 'cancelled'. On page 5 there is an explanatory note about this: 'in accordance with Regulation 8 (5) of the Marriage (Authorised Persons) Regulations 1952, this register and the duplicate register are hereby closed. The duplicate register has been placed in the custody of the Superintendent Registrar for Tower Hamlets Registration district'. There is a GRO reference number on the same page as this text and it is signed and stamped General Register Office, 3 September 1996. |
