The article by Shane Solanki was published about Aida, after her refusal when asked outside her home, to be interviewed. The subverted cover of Issue 3 had been re-printed in the actual article.
Circulation: not generally circulated but was for sale in her shop.
- Issue 9, Spring 2023:
Title: 'The Word On The Street' (Released May 2023)
Front cover subverted with screen printed reproduction by Aida of graffiti by a local resident about Will Chamberlain which had been painted on a wall by Hackney Wick Station. Unsigned by Aida, as she felt the credit remains with the individual who made the graffiti.
Circulation: some were put into circulation.
- Issue 10, Summer 2023:
Title: 'Lousy Pizza (Prince Willy Went to Hackney Wick)' (July 2023)
Front cover subverted with 'Eat like a prince. Prince Willy went to Hackney Wick...'. Signed by Aida. Aida's commentary on Prince William's stop off in May 2023 at Crate Pizza. Aida put a paste-up/poster up at Hackney Wick Station with the same slogan statement which was deliberately buffed out with grey paint 3 days later.
Circulation: for fundraising for UK Child Food Poverty charities. Ten copies sent in wrapped in shiny paper to Crate encouraging them to donate to charities tackling children's food poverty. |
