At end is written "cop'd. at Leamington Ja: ye: 10. 1769} suppos'd to be Uncle Burto[n's]".
On back page is written:
"Egypt. This Leopard story succeeds to a wonder. N.B. I fancy my discourses fatigue me less after dinner. July ye. 29 1770.
Revesby. May 17 1772. tir'd to death, to death, to death
Harwarden, Jan. 17. 1773. extremely cold. my mouth frozen up!
Mareham, Nor. 6th 1774
Poplar, Feb. 5th 1775. the Town under water
Poplar, Nor. 18. 1792. returned from Lincolnshire after a paddling, twaddling, dabbling summer. Mr Hodgkinson dy'd on Sunday 11. & Mrs Northmore on ye 7th."

Under which is a pen and ink sketch of a tower, captioned "Tower at Timatoo, county Kidare, or Queens County. but it is rather a Tower at Kildare. Timatoo is a ruin."

Following this, in a different hand:
