- copy lease 5 Oct 1619, between James I and the following acting for Charles Prince of Wales until he is 21 years of age: Sir Henry Hobarte, Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas, Chancellor to Charles Prince of Wales; Sir Thomas Murray, Secretary to Charles; Sir James Fullerton, Sir John Walker and Sir Thomas Trevor.
At request of Prince Charles, James I has granted to them all, manors and lands in Poplar late parcel of the land of the monastery of the Blessed Mary Graces near the Tower of London and also manors and lands of Bromley late the lands of Sir Ralph Sadler.
- copy assignment of the lease 16 May 1628, between Sir John Walter, Chief Baron of His Majesty's Court of Exchequer, Sir James Fullerton, gentleman of His Majesty's Bedchamber and Sir Thomas Trevor, baron of His Majesty's Court of Exchequer to William Williams, Robert Michell, Walter Markes and Robert Marsh of the City of London, gentlemen
- Letters Patent (in Latin) recites and confirms lease and assignment regarding the manors of Poplar and Bromley (also mentions manor of Princes Risborough, Bucks). Grants the same manors to Edward Dichfield (salter), John Highlord (tanner), Humphrey Clarke (dyer) and Francis Mosse (scrivener), all citizens of London, in perpetuity (except for certain fee farm rents). |
