AdminHistoryThese recordings relate mainly to the local Somali community in Tower Hamlets, their experiences and their identity. They were deposited with us by local resident Maggie Hewitt who was involved in the recording of the 'Somali Live: Culture in Exile' (M/SCT/6) documentary when working at The Workshop, Oxford House, Derbyshire Street.

Before Oxford House Maggie worked at Centerprise Bookshop (1979-1986) and then continued to work in education and oral history in east London.
