| Description | Overseers' debtors, cash brought over. We among others whose names are subscribed inhabitants of the hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the parish of Stepney in the county of Middlesex, have examined the aforegoing account of Mr William Strange and Mr Warren Burnie, late overseers of the poor for the said hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall for the year 1753, and find the same true and right and that there remained in the hands of the late overseers the sum of ninety four pounds, eight shillings and two pence farthing, which they have this day paid to Captain George Stevens the present church warden of the said hamlet.
