The majority of the volume has been used to record monthly expenses in a table format, including monthly, quarterly and yearly summaries and totals. There are some additional account records at the rear of the volume with listings of transactions dating from 1877-1878, mainly under the name of Seymour William Chalk (SWC) and often containing figures for 'cash' and 'cash paid'. These sections have been scored through and annotated with the text 'settled'. |
