| Description | Large package of material wrapped in brown paper and entitled 'Original Manuscript of Rev. W. Lax of Poplar', containing two bundles of papers of notes made by Reverend Lax. The first bundle of material within the package consists of loose pages of text, handwrittten in both pen and pencil and heavily annotated with corrections. Some pages/sections have titles/headings and are numbered. The second bundle of material has a piece of card attached to it with the title 'Original MSS of Lax of Poplar'. This bundle contains more (mostly numbered) pages of handwritten, annotated text, in addition to some pages of typed text.
The material has been arranged into 3 folders, to be produced together as one item:
Folder 1: first bundle of the original material
Folder 2: first section of the second bundle of the original material (from title page to page numbered 221)
Folder 3: second section of the second bundle of the original material (from page numbered 222 to page numbered 342, and including additional pages of notes about specific chapters at the end of the main red-numbered sequence of pages). |
