AdminHistoryThe Bethnal Green Health Society was formed in 1908 at the instance of the Mayor of Bethnal Green for the improvement of health in the Borough by the promotion of personal and domestic hygiene. It particularly aimed to reduce the abnormal loss of infant life by securing the services of health visitors to help mothers with newly-born children in poor circumstances.
CustodialHistoryThe provenance of this volume is not known. Given that the Honorary Secretary of the Society was the Deputy Town Clerk, it is possible that it came form a Council source.
