AdminHistoryBethnal Green and Bow Labour Party was formed in the mid 1990s, following the reorganisation of the predecessor Tower Hamlets constituencies of Bethnal Green and Stepney, and Bow and Poplar to create two new constituencies (the other being Poplar and Canning Town). Bethnal Green and Stepney, and Bow and Poplar Constituency Labour Parties had themselves been formed in 1983 when a decision was reached to abandon the all-purpose Tower Hamlets Labour Party then in existence in favour of sovereign constituency parties.
CustodialHistoryThis small collection of records was collected by the donor, who was an active member of the St James's Ward Labour Party in the late 1990s.
