Ws. affairs. As also from Wales, where I went to see my Cousin Mrs Randal Crewe. whom with Mrs
Gordon I left well for ye former. lastly I came from Staunton. where I found and left Mr Benshyn(?)
well. last Sunday I rode in ye heat eight Miles to Leather worth. then came on to Dunstable in
Chaises. ye Country'd perfum'd with bloom & delight. full.
Mareham 1st. Aug. 1784. return'd to Lincolnshire to meet the (?)Vescovo at (?)Horne. 2 Aug.
Mareham 13th July 1788. good but I was huskey & hot, plague of Flys rages with all its stings, & I'm
blister'd & blown from head to heel.
Revesby Abbey. 15 Sep. 1799. Came from London to Lincolnshire on Thursday, the race over came here
yesterday. a dark and dusky day. & with great difficulty saw my way through the service. if my Eyes
decline so fast, I must decline reading. for I can preach no more in these gloomy Mansions of the
dead!
