Includes Pam Brighton (died 2015) who joined the Half Moon Theatre in 1975 and became sole Artistic Director when Guy Sprung left. The company voted for the theatre to be run along the lines of a collective in October 1976 and Pam left shortly after this to go to Canada. Her leave of absence was to be on a temporary basis, however, she did not to return. She was succeeded by Sean Connaughton (1976-1977), Robert Walker (1977-March 1983) and Stuart Mungall (from June 1983).

The letter is from the Half Moon's Artistic Director, Pam Brighton and within it she expresses her support of the move to run the theatre along more collective lines and explains that she is leaving the theatre temporarily, to spend a few months in Canada.
