| Description | A patterned sketchbook filled with rough drawings. The cover is brightly patterned with green, purple, red and orange colours in numerous shapes and sizes. The book is bound with card at both the front and back covers, joined via a plastic spiral binder. It is approximately twenty one and a half centimetres tall by seventeen wide. The sketches within are mostly caricatures of ethnic Mexicans, pottery and a few nudes. There are no page numbers.
This sketchbook appears to contain the drawings McCarthy drew during his trip to Mexico in 1997 / 1998. Near the back of the book are what appear to be two draft letters to McCarthy's associates.

| PhysicalDescription | Condition: Overall this item is in poor condition. The front and back covers of this sketchbook are noticeably creased. In addition, the edges of some of the pages inside the book have begun turning brown due to acidic chemicals in the paper. However, there do not appear to be any missing pages. |
