| Description | [Robert Bruce Boswell (son of Alexander and Mary Boswell) was born 1 Dec. 1804 in Edinburgh, a distant relative of Dr. Johnsons's biographer. In 1832 he sailed to India (on the 'William Fairlie') as Chaplain for the East India Company in Bengal. His first wife (Louisa Dunbar) died a few after arrival in Calcutta. For many years he was Minister of St. James ' Church, Calcutta; in 1855 he returned to England and was appointed Minister of Poplar Chapel. He died 18 Jun. 1860 and is buried in the City of London Cemetery at Little Ilford, Essex 9see obituary notice in the Illustrated London News, 14 Jul. 1860.]
