| Description | 'Abstract of Vestry Minutes of Stepney Parish 1579 - 1854'
Compiled by C.Mason from the the four volumes (vols. 2-5) of the original Vestry minutes covering the period 1662 to 1868 (now at the London Metropolitan Archives, P39/DUN/236 - 238, 328) and also from two volumes of copies of the minutes from 1579 to 1730 and from 1778 to 1798 (the first of these volumes was formerly at the Stepney Parochial Offices, but its present location is unkown; the second volume is now L/SDS/1/2).
Included in the volume are the following printed items:
Table of fees (for baptisms, marriages, funerals and burials), 1802.
Churchwardens' pews rents account, 1843-4; mortuary fees accounts, 1843 - 1844 and 1846 - 1847; accounts, 1852 - 1853.
Account of the receipts and disbursements if the voluntary subscriptions towards the fund for repairing the church clock, and painting the church yard railings, Oct. 1854. |
