The parties of 1. covenant to surrender no. 6 York Place, Mile End Road, and two pieces of ground in the rear of York Place and Union Row bounded on the west by gardens, on the south by 'Back Lane', and on the east by property of Christopher Horne, esq., together with the private road separating them (part of the copyhold estate of the Manor of Stepney), to which 2. is to be admitted as tenant.
Recites mortgage of 26 Feb. 1846 of six messuages in York Place in the occupation of -.Nias, -.Lowry, -.Adams, George Turney, Mrs Crobin and Joseph Potts, and property adjoining (part of an estate called Stratford Field), by which James Lawford raised £4000. He defaulted on repayment, and the parties of 1., to whom the mortgage had been transferred on 2 Jun. 1854, sold part of the property to 2. by auction on 20 Jul. 1855.
