| Description | London County Council Admission Register for St Bernard's School. Volume is entitled 'Admission Register Children of Compulsory School Age' for 'St Bernard's (R.C.) Secondary School'.
The volume contains an alphabetic index at the front followed by admission entries dating from September 1945 - September 1951. The entries are arranged chronologically by admission number, but not necessarily by chronological admission date. Generally there are a lot of admissions on specific dates rather than regular admissions on a daily basis. The range of information fields within the admission register includes: admission number; date of admission; surname; christian name; sex; date of birth; birth certificate; name of parent/guardian; address; name and address of school last attended; last attendance at this school; reason for leaving; form - on entry, on leaving; immunized against diphtheria; date of transfer to register of children over compulsory school age.
Following the admission entries there are some additional handwritten notes and class lists dated 1948. The volume also includes some loose material in the form of a pupil list dated 1945-1951 and 1959. |
