| Description | Records relating to the Christchurch Gardens Intermediate Education Centre, funded by the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA), London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council (LBTH) and Spitalfields Project.
The Centre was established following recognition of truants frequenting Christchurch Playground, and the decision was taken to attach a teacher to the project with the aim of providing education for around 10 pupils who were persistant truants, and returning pupils to ordinary school where possible. |
