DescriptionRecords related to the Bacon Street Redevelopment, a vacant site within Brick Lane North Industrial Improvement Area identified for industrial development within Tower Hamlets Borough Plan. The redevelopment was a scheme undertaken by the Greater London Enterprise Board in consultation with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Spitalfields Small Business Association. Although outside the Spitalfields Area, redevelopment was of interest to the Spitalfields Local Committee and the Spitalfields Housing and Planning Rights Association due to the redevelopment projects discussion with local Spitalfields organisations. Includes correspondence with the Spitalfields Project co-ordinator and reports on the redevelopment.
