AdminHistoryBethnal Green Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) was founded before 1942. It was governed by Greater London Citizens Advice Bureau and ultimately by the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureau established in 1939. The National CAB has overall management of branches including their opening and closure.
Based at St Margaret's House, the branch provided free advice to individuals on their rights and responsibilities and helped form policies for social change. The Organisers of Bethnal Green Citizens Advice Bureau included Mrs Ruth P Willats and Steve Brooks during 1970s and 1980s.
