| Description | Very large volume containing records about accounts held with J. J. and S. W. Chalk dating from April 1968 - April 1970. On the front cover there is evidence of a former label, including the text 'Finland'. However, this paper label has either been ripped off, or has worn away over time, to expose a handwritten title underneath. This title consists of the text: 'D' and 'From April'.
The volume is arranged into two parts, each with its own embedded alphabetic index, with records arranged alphabetically by account holder name within the indexes. At the beginning of each alphabetic section there is table with column headings consisting of the the letters 'A'; 'E'; ' I'; 'O'; 'U' and 'Y' and listings re account holders. Each account section within the two indexes includes lists of the account holder's credits and debits to J. J. and S. W. Chalk, arranged in date order. The first index contains records dating from April 1968 - July 1969; the latter contains records dating from April 1969 - August 1970. |
