DescriptionReverend Lax was a successful author and produced five novels relating to The Methodist Church and Poplar. These records consist mainly of his literary writing in the early-mid twentieth century in the form of handwritten notes, drafts and manuscript versions of his published novels, as well as a some copies of the published works, including annotated volumes. However, the records also include more personal, collaborative pieces of writing such as a travel journal he wrote with his wife, Minnie [Mary Ann].
