| AdminHistory | The date of the formation of the Shadwell Ward Labour Party is unknown. It certainly existed as a branch of the newly-created Stepney Labour Party in 1948 and may have existed before this time as a branch of the Whitechapel and St. George's constituency party.
In 1971 the party became a branch of the Stepney and Poplar Constituency Labour Party and then of the Tower Hamlets Labour Party. In 1983 it became a branch of the newly-created Bow and Poplar Constituency Labour Party. |
