(3) James Cambell, citizen and ironmonger of London (tenant to the precipe )
From (1) to (2) of a house and garden adjoining, part of which was formerly called the Harteshorne, and the rest part of lands bought by William Meggs deceased, father of (1), from Leonard Smurfet of London, bowyer, deceased. (3) to recover the same in due course. The property was formerly occupied by Richard Blunte esq and now by (1).
On dorse, signatures of witnesses Richard Holway, Rowland Jukes, Thomas Welles and Anthony Arle.
Note: This would appear to be distinct from the 'Harteshorne' brewhouse which, according to P/SLC/1/10/6, lay in Pillory Lane off East Smithfield, i.e. within the parish of St Botolph without Aldgate. |
