| Description | This material consists of selected library copies of Full Council minutes. These were originally produced so they could be distributed to local public libraries in Tower Hamlets (including Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives) to provide public access to the agenda papers of meetings of the Full Council prior to meetings.
These copies are unsigned and, unlike those which come earlier in this series, they are not the official records of the Full Council. However, those retained here have been kept because during cataloguing of this material (in 2015) it was discovered that the library copies on occasion contained some additional documentation to that found within the signed office copies from the same period. Where the library copy of minutes from a Full Council meeting was found to be identical to the office copy only the latter was retained.
For a full record it is advisable therefore that readers consult the office copies of the minutes in conjunction with the library copies which have been retained, for instance, L/THL/A/1/1/31 should be consulted with L/THL/A/1/1/32. |
