AdminHistoryThe Highway Clubs, situated in and around the Highway (previously known as Broad Street and St George Street), Ratcliff, were for boys and girls from 13 to 18 years of age and provided a wide range of leisure activities and holiday opportunities. The history of the Clubs, which had their origin in the founding by F C Mills (1857 - 1938) of the Broad Street Boys' Club in 1886, is recounted by F C Wright in item S/HWC/4.
