AdminHistory | Joseph Haynes was born at Penton Palace, Clerkenwell on 28 March 1835 to Sarah and Joseph Haynes. In 1845, he with his parents moved to Kennington Place. He worked for Mr Taad, a cheesemonger at Kennington Common. He gave up this job in 1848. In 1851 he received a conductor's license, and worked as a coach driver. He married Maria and they were recorded as living 84 Armagh Road, Bow in the 1881 census. He later lived at 5 Bancroft Road, Mile End. |
