AdminHistoryJack Greenstock was born in Bethnal Green in 1895 and died on 6 March 1980 aged 85 years. Greenstock was Jewish and a professional boxer from 1910 to 1922. During his boxing career, Greenstock fought both nationally and internationally as a lightweight and took part in up to 58 professional contests. After his career he started promoting the sport at various locations including Wolverhampton and Ilford. Due to his expertise and successful career, Greenstock was able to open up a training club at Mile End gymnasium where he trained young boxers and provided general health tips. Greenstock was featured in various sporting articles and he had a health column in which he contributed general health and sporting articles.
